Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

I use only strictly necessary cookies — the ones the site genuinely needs to log you in, secure your session and process payments. I do not use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and I never sell your data.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They let a website remember things between page loads — for example, that you're signed in. Some are set by me (first-party); a few are set by my payment provider, Stripe, so payments work safely.

Cookies I use

Cookie Purpose Type Duration
PHPSESSID Keeps your session active so you stay logged in as you move between pages. Your anti-forgery (CSRF) security token lives inside this session too — it is not a separate cookie. Essential Session
__Secure-felyra-remember Optional “remember me” — keeps you signed in on this device after you close the browser. Only set if you tick the box at login. Functional Up to 30 days
felyra_invite Set only if you arrive through a friend's invite link, so that friend gets credit if you sign up. Functional Up to 90 days
felyra_cookie_ack_v1 Remembers that you've dismissed the cookie notice so I don't show it again. Technically stored in your browser's localStorage, not as a cookie. Essential Until you clear browser data
Stripe (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) Set by Stripe during checkout to process payments securely and prevent fraud. Essential Up to 1 year

Why I don't ask for opt-in consent

Under the EU ePrivacy rules and GDPR, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you've requested don't require prior consent. Every cookie above falls into that category — logging in, security, the “remember me” option you choose, crediting the friend who invited you when you deliberately follow their link, and payments. Because I run no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, there's nothing optional to consent to. The notice you saw simply informs you of this.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that blocking essential cookies will stop you from logging in or completing payments, so parts of Felyra won't work. You can also skip the “remember me” option at login if you'd prefer not to set that cookie.

Third parties

Payments are handled by Stripe, which sets its own cookies as described above. See Stripe's Privacy Policy and Stripe's Cookie Policy for details. For everything else, see my own Privacy Policy.

Changes

If I ever add new cookies, I'll update this page and the “last updated” date, and — if I ever introduce non-essential cookies — I'll ask for your consent first.
